Yeti Cycles was established in 1985 before mountain biking was even considered an industry. Since the early days, Yeti has become one of the most widely recognized teams in the history of the sport and has been home to some of the biggest names in mountain biking.
To commemorate the 25th anniversary, they painted all the Factory Team bikes in the traditional desert turquoise and yellow scheme in homage to Yeti race bikes of the late 80's and early 90's. The colour scheme called to mind a time when names like John Tomac, Julie Furtado, Jimmy Deaton, Missy Giove, and Miles Rockwell donned the turq and yellow early in their legendary racing careers.
Although the colour scheme of the 303 DH Team Issue is familiar to those early days, the technology has come a long way from the first F.R.O. bike that was welded back in '85. The team model is baned on Yeti's Zero-Loss technology which uses linear rail technology instead of traditional pivots. This technology gives Yeti the ability to create an extrememely efficiant bike that has an adjustable wheel path and a rate that is optimal for the new shock technologies.
In short, this is Yeti's most technologically advanced downhill bike to date and will be raced by the Factory Team riders.
