Overall the DH200 is a perfect example of a very good design offered at a decent price, coupled with proper parts and a good value.
"This bike is truly for downhill riding, it loves anything steep and anything fast. We rode Cypress Mountain this weekend, which has plenty of both. One of the prevalent aspects of this bike is its ability to eat up bumps. Sections of trail that were littered with baby heads felt like they were groomed single track. I was pedaling and gaining speed like mad in sections that I used to have to ride the brakes on. Everyone uses the old suspension test of ‘pick up the back end of the bike and let it drop to the ground’ to see if it bounces or not - a test that the DH200 passed with flying colours. This essentially means that the bike corners like a crazy person, the rear wheel stays glued to the dirt, providing great traction and good compression out of the end of the corners. No problems with the back end skittering around in brake bumps. The day of this particular ride was after a few days of North Van style rain, so the properly soaked trails made for the ideal conditions to test a new bike. Nothing like deep loam and slick rocks and roots! All over the terrain this bike inspired confidence and speed. Come summer and Whistler, the DH 200 will no doubt haul some serious arse."
