Santa Cruz's Hightower LT Carbon C XE is made to go fast, give you a bigger margin of error, and take on the biggest mountains in the world. With a whopping 150mm of Santa Cruz' proven VPP suspension design and a slacked-out 66.4-degree head angle, the Hightower LT is designed for maximum speed in the biggest mountains. It’s truly race-bred, its design the result of the demands of racing at the EWS, Crankworx, and Andes Pacifico. Short chainstays and a spacious cockpit ramp-up the fun when railing technical descents while putting you in a powerful position for blazing uphill battles. The increased travel means the reach is slightly (7mm) shorter than the standard Hightower, the head angle a half-degree slacker, and the seat angle a half-degree slacker, as well. The rear triangle retains the dual upright design, but adds a post-mount rear brake. The V10 Carbon CC X01 build includes a Fox 40 Float RC2 fork, Race Face SIXC Carbon 165mm cranks, and SRAM Guide RSC brakes paired to Avid Centerline rotors to create a podium-level DH bike that's eager to please.
Santa Cruz Tallboy 29 XX1 Carbon CC
If hardtails are the sheep of cross country mountain biking, the Santa Cruz Tallboy is a wolf on their heels. With new frame tweaks that increase its trail chops, you'll be stoked to discover where the new Tallboy can take you. On steep and rocky descents, the relaxed 68-degree head angle and 120mm fork urge you to charge harder, and a shortened rear end and more progressive shock tune provide snappy acceleration and a playful feel over smooth, rolling singletrack. For increased control through high-speed turns, the lowered bottom bracket height drops the center of gravity and gives the Tallboy a planted feel. Versatility continues with the ability to run the stock 29er wheelset or 27.5+ thanks to Boost hub spacing and a chip that changes the geometry depending on which configuration you choose. For the Tallboy CC XX1, Santa Cruz jumps to Eagle territory with SRAM's 1x12 drivetrain. A Fox 34 Float Factory fork and Float Factory DPS Kashima rear shock keep the tires where they belong, and an optioned Santa Cruz Reserve carbon wheelset ups the bling factor while keeping overall weight down.
